Bamboo Wine Glass Coasters
Why is it that something as simple as a coaster can and didbecome complicated and scientific? Maybe it is a latent engineer coming to the forefront. Well, after a year Image of Wine launched the first of a series of Eco products and Bamboo is at the heart of the line. We tried to understand: types of bamboo, how is bamboo harvested, construction techniques of 3 plies versus single ply and natural color options. So, we know the Bamboo Wine Glass Coasters which we know is overly engineered. What makes it overly engineered is that it is made of the most premium of bamboo-Moso is the species-very dense, great color, unique grain effect and durable. Our bamboo is 3 cross ply construction that eliminates warping, has hand applied 2 coats of Teak Oil that is hand rubbed between coats of Teak Oil, and is a finish that penetrates the bamboo to minimize staining. Just the hand finishing process takes 3+ days to complete.
Then we added felt pads to the corners of the Coasters because felt will not leave marks on fine furniture and silicone will.
The Bamboo Coasters are offered in all Natural and Caramelized (which is a natural process of heating the bamboo to turn the sugars in the bamboo a toasted color) that can be laser engraved. These Coasters make for a very attractive corporate use in boardrooms, promotions and event promotions.
